tokyo chapter at its conclusion

The count down for departure from tokyo has started for me. The time has come for me to leave from tokyo. Though I am not interested to leave this happy and peace country, I have to start to have a great time with family at india.

After major quake and tsunami hit in Mar 2011, I am away from family... And I am counting my days with my friends... I just spend time other than office hours in spending bowling, japanese class and going out tokyo streets with friends...

I learned lot from Japan such as japanese precision, punctuality, social equal and lot... ofcourse, i learned little japanese also including hiragana and katakana scripts. Even i learned bowling also here only.

I got few indian friends Kalai, Ajay, Prsanth and colleagues Rasheersh. Few japanese friends such as Aki, Sazaki and Mai.

Still i have 50 more days here to spend, let me enjoy going out with friends and see tokyo as much as possible

dream about dream team India cricket

Today I had totally a different dream which I enjoyed lot. The indian cricket team came to my village which is so greenish and they were enjoying taking fields photos, bathing in well, sleeping under the trees and so on. There was no public crowd, so they were free to roam around. I was there only, even I didn't feel getting their autograph( in dream). Even I was so relaxed and confident that i can catch hold of them anytime.
Now it is climax, there was huge explosion and noise. When I notice, it is 5:30am alarm from my phone. What else otherthan getting ready for work only.

energy booster

I am having tough time at office. I spend more than 15 hours starring LCD everyday without even having 30 mins continues break. Though the restless hardwork brought me RAVE reward from Citi a week back, it is also brought in many health issues. I stopped going for games, gym, walking, jogging and all good practices.
I booked on a weekend after longtime to go out with my family. Somehow it reached my management. So they all had a meeting and forced me to cancel my costly plans and made me to go to office.

Onsite - Chapter 2

Yes, this is my chapter 2 in onsite next to Seoul. Second chapter abroad starts in Tokyo, one of the costliest city in the planet.

This assignment is from Wipro for Nikko Citi Ltd. As usual, there is no change is working culture and politics in workplace. The only change I would say is I am in Tokyo.

Tokyo, infact Japan is far and far ahead of India in many ways.

anyways, not to differentiate two countries in my blog.

My life has become machine after coming to tokyo. I miss TCS life , because most of the time I was idle. My role did not demand more for subcustodian domain. Equities domain demands more and in unplanned way.


Well when I land here, I was put-up in a hotel accommodation. The lodging was in hotel tokyu stay, tsukiji. Though it is a costliest accommodation, I didn't like it. But I was near to my kachidoki triton square office. I used to walk 3 km daily. I was little bit fit and healthy those days. But the accommodation was for week only. Then I moved to minami-gyotoku to stay with Sandeep. He is the youngest one in the project. But he talks like eldest.

Later I moved to a paying guest accommodation by Sakura for a month at monzen nakacho. It was a very good experience with Italian girl, mexiac guy and an English man. Their name Veronica, Diego and Paul. Paul gave me more friends from his such including pleasing guys Martin, Brain and more. Later from there, I moved to an UR apartment for my family. This is at nishi kasai, more or like a little India having more indians, Indian grocery stores and restaurants.

it is great pleasure and happy being here in Tokyo with family. Ofcourse it is made rememberable by toffy-San.

Kathir Punches - Recent update

1) Last week, when Kathir and Dhana were debugging the mega-giga-script written for EBBS file transfer.

2) Kathir was trying to teach me a few facts/truth of life …

Kathir: Vazhkai la Adhirshtam oru dhadava dhan kadhava thattum …. Anaaa ….. Dhur-Adhirshtam kadhavu thorakara varaikkum thattikiteeee irukkum !!!!!!!

3) Two days back, Kathir asked jumbo regarding something in charges.

Vinay was furious and shouted at him – ‘how can you discuss about charges without me? I am the module Lead’

Balaji: (tearing the ticket into pieces)Naan movie eh polanga! Aala vidunga..

Kathir Punch Dialogues

Kathir who is sitting next to my cubicle in office has many punch dialogues and owns them... Few of them are

3. Small conversation between me and him about his Silk Shirt which he was wearing last friday..
Me: Kathir, ithu Silk shirt uh
Kathir: Illeenka, ithu ennoda shirt...
Me: !!!!

Masters done

It has been a month since my last posting (அப்படி என்னடா பிஸி?). There is a reasonable reason. Usually April and October months are famous for students (அது ஸ்டுடென்ட்sku மட்டும் தானே). They are busy with their exams (சரி, உனக்கு என்ன சம்பந்தம்?). Fortunately (unfortunatelyனு சொன்னா கரெக்டா இருக்கும்) I also student right, so I also was busy with my ME exams. Actually it was not exam; it was about my final thesis work. I had my final thesis viva just a week before only. I could complete it successfully (நெஜமாவா?).


After successful 3 year struggle and hard work, me and 8 of my colleagues ie classmates are able to complete or cross the river successfully. I am confident that I will get my first class ME degree soon from Anna University (1st கிளாஸ் ஆமா, இது மட்டும் பிலீவ் பண்றமாதிரி இல்லையே!). I worked much harder for papers mathematical, statistics and thesis work. It was tough time working at client location and studying in one of the prestigious university.

I should say thanks to my class advisor Mr.Basky for his great support; without him the degree could have been only in dreams for me and few of my friends. He made many of our dreams true. I should tell about class people lead Deepu for his coordination to get many things done on behalf of the class. He is a real hardworker and the only one who deserves for distinction Master degree. He is not only studious; he is also consistent performer in office (அவன பார்த்து கொஞ்சம் கத்துகோடா குரு பயலே).


There are interesting characters in my class. One is Anshul. You can’t understand what he wants to convey and what he tries to relate the current topic (அவன் பாண்டிச்சேரிகாரன், அதான் அப்படி இருக்கான், அப்போ சரிதானே?). He regularly works in UK time, so he does not know about the outside world. During thesis reviews and exams someone has to wake him and remind about…


Other one is Venkat. He is very innocent (அப்படினா வெகுளி தானே!). During exam days, he always used to do group study with his son, yep he and his son both are studying. He is always curious, and bit opposite to Anshul, ie he does not know what to ask. He always asks about his results even after seeing the published results in notice board.

Arunrex: He is a singer, he himself sang for his marriage. He mostly works in shifts, so it is always tough for him to come to college. He came to my marriage with his fiancé i.e. before his marriage. He is the first father after we met each other.

Anukool: He is AnuCOOL ie so cool always. He is DBA, a confident person. He talks very crisp. He helped me in many ways personally (ரொம்ப நல்லவன்னு சொல்லு) and gave confidence during tough times (tough டைம்னா, உனக்கு எக்ஸாம் டைம் தானே!). He will be soon another father too. His thoughts and my thoughts are always in sync whatever we think about our college staffs, incidents and so…

Gurushanky: He is my best friend (அவனா நீ?). We both share almost everything about college. I always ask his suggestion before I take any decision about college (இந்த விஷயம் குருவுக்கு தெரியுமா?).

Saranya: She is the only girl who was there till the last semester. Her interesting character is that she first ensures that she gets first, and then she checks out opportunity for others. She came to my marriage with his hubby Tamil. Saranya should be luckiest to have such guy.


Seniors: Apart from this guys we had chance to interact and study with our seniors Shankar, Senthi and Phani. If reviewers ask Shankar a question, he talks for hours even for simple questions (கலக்குற சந்துருவா இருப்பாரோ இவரு).

I have lot to blog about my college days. Let me put everything whenever I get time. First time I have mixed tamil also into my blog. Hope it is interesting for you to read thru.
