India on the UNSC...

India has been lobbying for years to get a permanent seat on a revamped UN Security Council, which at the moment comprises the US, Russia, France, UK and China.

On Monday, India, Japan, Germany and Brazil-collectively known as the G4, introduced a UN reform plan which suggests enlarging the Security Council by adding six permanent and four temporary members.

The G4 resolution would need 127 votes. But even if ratified it would still need approval of the five permanent members.

Sametime India's UNSC dreamboat sinks in US waters.

What are India's chances?

Successful people help others who are slow in learning so that they are not felt far behind.

Actually it will first sink in the China sea before it gets to the US Sea. China can't see Japan on the permanent council ... even though Japan provides more support than China!
